I put these two angels on a separate page to keep from
overfilling each page as you move from one place to the other.
Both are Native American inspired. One is a ceremonial dancer
for corn and harvest times, to bring the rains. Her "tablita" on
her head, from the Spanish 'tableta', has pictures of the sky
painted on it and there are white feathers on it symbolizing
clouds. She carries cedar boughs, has silver clasps to hold her
dress together on the sides, she wraps her legs and dresses in
the very traditional way of her pueblo. Modesty is important.
The second angel is a Mescalero Apache mother or sister or
auntie, carrying a baby in a cradle board on her back. There are
feathers attached to it for strength and for protection. Women
never put down the children, I think, even if we only carry them
spiritually after they can walk.
Buy them separately in two different sizes or in the smaller
sizes, buy them in boxes of six of the same design or in a box
with all fifteen tiny angels inside of it.
