Hello all you nice people who buy my artwork.

This angel is taped to my mirror and I see her
first thing each morning. I either smile or
grumble.

I need to apologize to everyone because I
went from being a fairly reliable and timely
person to being a reclining person who
quietly did much less than before and who
did it late or not at all.

I took up painting, in case you all noticed that
there was little of my original clay work
available anymore. It is so easy to paint
reclining or sitting down or to put down a
painting and come back to it. Clay is not so
neat and forgiving.

I have been trying to get back to clay for two
months or so now. I am slow at it and the
work is not as pretty as it was just before I got
ill. It is coming back however and I am slowly
building up a small inventory.

I hope to sign up for and to attend the Friends
of the Creche Convention in Salt Lake City in
November. I also hope to have a few pretty
and unique nativity scenes and Holy Families
done by then. I am fairly hit and miss still, not
as productive as I used to be.

But, I do wish to thank you for your patience,
those of you who have been waiting for over a
year for undelivered things. I will try to get
things out this month to you. You know who
you are, huh, Betty? And the other sweet
Betty, too. Seems that Bettys get neglected
more than others.

Life is good and I have around 11 or 12
grandchildren now and they are so special.
Each one is, what do they say on Lake
Woebegon, “all the women are strong, all the
men are good looking, and all the children
are above average." They are speaking of my
family, of course.

So, this is my first attempt at a newsletter and
a wild thing it is. Help me by sending stories
about good things, stories that I can repeat,
for heaven’s sake !!

And thank you for buying from me over these
two decades. I am discounting the decades of
wooden products and oil paintings on
plaques that came before.

Sincerest best wishes for a good 2009 for all
of us in America.
Love,

April
