Mo Udall is my personal hero and a knight in shining
armor, armor which was never truly tarnished, teaching
us that some of our angels never fall.
He championed the average citizen while working in our
National Government; he loved people and used his
sense of humor to get things done and to communicate
even in difficult circumstances. We should all try to do
that more. What a decent and good man he was. When
he was handed lemons, he made lemonade, trite as that
sounds.
His Gift is a set of wooden alphabet blocks which spell
out the word Justice and I have put our national icon
Happy Face on one block to represent his sense of
humor. His gift is the making of just laws, the
preservation of good laws and the blocking of unfair and
unjust new laws.
He was the best of us and a rare example of how to be
good during one entire lifetime, though he was human, as
are we all.
